RRTU work on the Davidson River January '22

RRTU “Conservation Heroes” Josh Shriver, Kevin Foley and Paul Duffy assist in stream bank stabilization on the Davidson River.  This prime fishery was recently devastated by hurricane Fred. Contact Ken Thompson ([email protected]) if you would like to assist in future efforts.

Fundamental to Trout Unlimited's mission are actions undertaken by local chapters to conserve, protect, and sustain our watersheds and cold water fisheries.  The combined impact of development, agriculture, and climate change pose a serious threat that will have both immediate and long term consequences.  Our motto is a simple one; conserve ... protect ... restore, and the task may seem daunting.  But the time for action is now.

Our efforts are focused:
  • Increase community awareness of current issues.
  • Partner with conservation organizations on projects recognizing that access to professional staff, scientific resources, and past experience are essential to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Engage with local, regional, and state agencies to promote the importance of clean water and environmental safeguards.
