Trout In The Classroom in South Charlotte

The trout eggs were distributed to 17 schools by RRTU volunteers on 9/24/15. The eggs hatched within 10 days, and the alevins were kept in softly netted breeder's baskets where they lived off their yolk sacs. When they were strong ENOUGH to rise to the surface and feed, they were released to move around the tank.
