Two weeks ago I found myself in the Charlotte airport talking to a guy from Winston Salem about trout streams in Idaho. Funny how a backpack with a rod tube hanging out starts a conversation. We were just starting our 10 day trip out west and with new information in hand, I couldn't wait to get in the water. The Warm River is in the Targee National Forest and is a tributary to the Henry's Fork of the Snake River. The water was a beautiful aqua blue and it looks like no-one has ever fished here before. We had to hike in a few miles before descending the steep bank to get to the stream. I took one of my Tenkara rods and had a memorable day fishing for wild rainbows and brook trout.
